MAIL PIECE DESIGN

Follow these tips to ensure your mailing goes as smooth as possible.

Contact us before you print. We will review your pre-print proof to ensure (a) optimal USPS deliverability as well as adherence to USPS postal regulations governnig discounted mailings and (b) prevention of mis-design aspects that could interfere with achieving intended postal discounts.

Non-Profit Organization's full name and street address must match exactly to what is on file with the USPS. The Non-Profit name must be displayed as the most prominent wording. It must contain the name in it's entirety, with any suffix such as ", inc." The address must be identical to what is on file and typically cannot be a P. O. Box.

Many inkjet inks used for addressing will not dry on coated paper stocks. Check with us before choosing a stock.

Uniformity is the key. All mail pieces must be identical weight, same color of paper stock and the same number of folds within a sheet. Address labels cannot be hand written. If a piece such as a tri-fold is being used ensure the folds are uniform, usually accomplished by machine folding.

Always use a light-color paper stock. Dark colors such as red, blue, grays, etc could make your Postal Regulations non-OCR compatible and cost you more money.
